How to Set and Limit Event Capacity

Setting and managing the capacity for your event is crucial for ensuring a smooth experience for both organizers and attendees. Follow these steps to effectively limit the capacity of your event using Ticket Spot.

Step by Step Guide

Set Event Capacity

  1. Create a new event or select an existing event to edit.
  2. Go to 'Event Capacity' :
    • This setting controls the total number of attendees allowed for the event.
    • You can set the event capacity to a specific number or choose 'Unlimited'.
    • If you choose 'Unlimited', the total capacity will be dictated by the individual ticket types.

Configure Ticket Type Capacity

  1. Navigate to the 'Tickets' section of your event setup.
  2. Create a new ticket type or edit an existing one.
  3. Set the quantity for each ticket type:
    • Enter the maximum number of tickets that can be sold for this particular ticket type.
    • Ensure the combined quantity of all ticket types does not exceed the overall event capacity (if specified).

Example:

  • Event Capacity: 500 attendees
  • Ticket Types:
    • VIP Tickets: Quantity set to 100
    • General Admission: Quantity set to 300
    • Early Bird Tickets: Quantity set to 100
